Our story begins in the mid-90s, right here in Grand Rapids, where Sami started crafting delicious gyros from his cherished recipe in a small grocery store in Eastown. Combined with his wifes famous falafels, these culinary delights quickly became a local sensation. As word spread, Sami expanded his operation, opening gyro restaurants all around town, solidifying our reputation as the originals. By early 2013, Sami decided to retire, but his love for cooking and traditional recipes brought him back after 5 years of retirement. (kinda like Jordan in his prime) Alongside his wife, Suzan, they revived their passion for homemade goodness with Tasty Gyro and Coney Island. Today, we continue to bring you fresh, homemade recipes that have been loved in Grand Rapids for decades. Come try us out, because the only way is the tasty way!
